MGY Medium (for Pichia pastoris)

It is a medium based on yeast nitrogen base and biotin, supplemented with glycerol as the carbon source. It provides nutrients and energy required for the growth of Pichia pastoris, supports rapid cell proliferation, and is often used for culturing recombinant Pichia pastoris strains before induced expression to accumulate sufficient cells for subsequent protein expression.
