pET-3a is an early vector of the pET series, containing a strong T7 promoter (regulated by lac repressor) with multiple cloning sites for target gene insertion. Expression can be induced by IPTG, suitable for high-efficiency expression and functional research of recombinant proteins in Escherichia coli.
