Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate Dehydrogenase(GAPDH)Activity Assay Kit

GAPDH catalyzes the oxidation of 3-phosphoglyceraldehyde to generate 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate, and is a key enzyme in the glycolytic pathway. It is closely related to gluconeogenesis, the maintenance of blood glucose levels, and the occurrence of diabetes, playing an important role in the metabolic disorders of carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins in the body. Phosphoglycerate kinase catalyzes the conversion of ATP and 3-phosphoglycerate into 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate. GAPDH catalyzes the reverse reaction of 1,3-bisphosphoglycerate and NADH to produce 3-phosphoglyceraldehyde, inorganic phosphate, and NAD. The reduction of NADH measured at 340nm can reflect the activity level of GAPDH.
