Minimal Methanol Medium (for Pichia pastoris)

It is a synthetic basal medium composed of yeast nitrogen base and biotin as core components, supplemented with methanol as the sole carbon source. With definite components and no buffering agents, it can provide nitrogen sources, vitamins and energy required for the growth of Pichia pastoris. Compatible with various Pichia pastoris strains such as GS115, KM71 and X33, it is often used for pre-induction cell expansion in the small-scale stage of recombinant protein expression and serves as a further screening medium after yeast transformation.
