PAD Medium Kit (with 500mL of 20% Glucose Solution)

It consists of PAD basal medium and 20% glucose solution. The basal medium contains yeast nitrogen base, a mixture of amino acids excluding adenine, biotin and agar. To avoid the Maillard reaction between amino groups and glucose during sterilization which produces inhibitors, glucose should be separately added after filter sterilization. As a selective auxotrophic medium, it is mainly used for screening and culturing transformants of the PichiaPink Pichia pastoris system.
