Fructose-bisphosphate Aldolase(FDA) Assay Kit
Fructose-bisphosphate Aldolase(FDA) Assay Kit
Fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolase in plant chloroplasts is an important enzyme involved in the Calvin cycle of photosynthesis. It catalyzes the synthetic reaction of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate and sedoheptulose 1,7-bisphosphate, exhibiting varying responses under different stress conditions. Fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolase catalyzes the conversion of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate into glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate, and under the action of phosphotriose isomerase and α-glycerol phosphate dehydrogenase, it catalyzes the conversion of NADH and dihydroxyacetone phosphate into NAD and α-glycerol phosphate. Changes in absorbance at 340 nm can reflect the activity level of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate aldolase.
