L-galactose-1,4-lactone Dehydrogenase(Gal LDH) Assay Kit

L-Galactono-1,4-lactone dehydrogenase (Gal LDH) is the last and the most crucial rate-iting step of the major vitamin C synthesis pathway (L-galactose pathway) in plants, which can directly evaluate the ability of an organism (mainly plants) to synthes vitamin C (ascorbic acid, AsA). Gal LDH catalyzes the reduction of L-galactono-lactone with cytochrome c (yt c), and the reduced Cyt c has an absorption peak at 550 nm. The increased rate of reduced Cyt c was measured to calculate Gal LDH.
