Ascorbic Acid Oxidase(AAO) Assay Kit

AAO is a glycoprotein localized in the plant cell wall and belongs to the "blue copper oxidase" family. The ascorbic acid in the cell wall and AAO are closely related to cell wall metabolism and growth. MDHA formed by the oxidation of AsA by AAO can be reduced by cytochrome b on the plasma membrane, and the transmembrane transport of electrons in this process can promote cell growth. AAO can directly oxidize AsA, and by measuring the amount of oxidized AsA, the activity of AAO can be calculated.
