Serum Ferri Ion Content Assay Kit
Serum Ferri Ion Content Assay Kit
Serum iron refers to the iron bound to transferrin in the blood, and this indicator is commonly used to differentiate between iron deficiency anemia and non-iron deficiency anemia. Sodium bisulfite reduces serum Fe3+ to Fe2+, and Fe2+ further reacts with 2,2'-bipyridine to produce color, with an absorption peak at 520nm. The absorbance value at this wavelength can be used to calculate serum iron content.
