pYES2-MtMTP1 vector
Zn is an essential micronutrient for plants, and the mechanisms of Zn homeostasis are being intensively investigated. In this, a Zn transporter, MtMTP1, of CDF family in the model plant Medicago truncatula was identified and characterized. The MtMTP1 cDNAF encodes a protein composed of 407 amino acid residues with a predicted molecular mass of 45 kDa. Like metal tolerance proteins (MTPs) in plants, heterologous expression of MtMTP1 can complement the zinc-sensitive △zrc1 cot1 yeast double mutant.
