Aniline-4 Hydroxylase(AH) Assay Kit
Aniline-4 Hydroxylase(AH) Assay Kit
Cytochrome P450 enzymes are a group of isozymes primarily found in the liver, playing a significant role in the metabolism of xenobiotics, particularly drugs and toxins. AH corresponds to the CYP2E1 subtype in the P450 enzyme system. CYP2E1 is involved not only in drug metabolism but also in the activation of various pro-carcinogens and pro-toxins. After catalyzing the hydroxylation of aniline, AH produces 4-aminophenol, which is further converted into a phenol-indole complex that has a characteristic absorption peak at 630nm; the AH activity is calculated by measuring the rate of increase in absorbance at 630nm.
