DH10B
DH10B
The DH10B strain is derived from the MC1061 strain, with mutations in mcrA, mcrBC, and mrr, making it suitable for cloning DNA rich in methylcytosine or methyladenine (Therefore, genomic DNA, both prokaryotic and eukaryotic, can be cloned efficiently in DH10B). Mutations in recA1 and endA1 facilitate the stability of inserted DNA and the extraction of high-purity plasmid DNA. The presence of the φ80lacZ∆M15 marker allows DH10 to be used for blue-white spot screening, while rpsL confers streptomycin resistance.
