JM109, derived from E.coli K strain, is an ideal strain for extracting high-quality DNA, recA1.And endA1 mutations are beneficial to the stability of cloned DNA and the extraction of high-purity plasmid DNA. Carrying hsdR17Genotype background makes heterologous DNA not degraded by endogenous nuclease system. The existence of LAQIQZ δ M15 makes JM109 available for cloning and blue-white spot screening experiments.
