Actinomycetes liquid medium

Actinomycete liquid medium is a liquid medium for selective culture of actinomycetes. Its basic components are casein amino acids, yeast extract and glucose, which provide nitrogen sources, vitamins and carbon sources for the growth of actinomycetes. The key additives are sodium propionate and trace element solution. The former inhibits the growth of fungi and the latter provides necessary ions.
