GV3101
GV3101
GV3101 is a Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain widely used in plant transgenic research. Its chromosome background is C58 type, and it has rifampin resistance. The auxiliary Ti plasmid pMP90 (carmine type) carried by the strain has been destroyed in its own T-DNA transfer function, but it retains the intact vir gene, which can efficiently assist the integration of T-DNA of foreign binary vectors into the plant genome and endow the strain with gentamicin resistance. GV3101 is suitable for genetic transformation of Arabidopsis thaliana, tobacco, corn and potato, and is a commonly used tool strain in plant molecular biology.
