SMD1168

SMD1168 is a widely used Pichia pastoris protein expression strain. It is double protease deficient (PEP4-, PRB1-), which can effectively reduce the degradation of recombinant protein by the host and significantly improve the yield and stability of target protein, especially unstable protein. The strain retains the strong induction of AOX1 promoter to methanol, and has the screening marker of histidine auxotrophy (His-), so it is an ideal tool for efficient secretion and expression of functional proteins.
