MaV203
MaV203
MaV203 is a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain commonly used in GAL4 system yeast two-hybrid experiment. The strain belongs to MATα mating type, and its genotype contains the deletion of GAL4 and GAL80 genes, and carries several auxotrophic markers such as leu2, trp1, his3Δ200 and ade2-101. It integrates four reporter genes (LacZ, HIS3, URA3, etc.), and can screen protein interactions with high accuracy through various phenotypic changes on specific defective media. Therefore, MaV203 is very suitable for direct transformation of plasmids for protein interaction verification or library screening experiments.
