EGY40

EGY40 is a competent cell of Saccharomyces cerevisiae used in yeast two-hybrid system. The strain was prepared by special technology, and the transformation efficiency of pGBKT7 plasmid detection was usually greater than 10 cfu/μ g DNA. When used, competent cells need to be melted on ice, mixed with Carrier DNA and PEG/LiAc solution after thermal denaturation, and transformed by a specific heat shock procedure. EGY40 is suitable for transferring the constructed plasmid directly into yeast cells for protein interaction verification, and is a commonly used tool strain in molecular biology experiments.
