MAV203 Chemically Competent Cell

The MaV203 strain is a strain constructed using recombinases from yeast to create plasmids, of the MATα type, that can directly transform linearized plasmids and gene fragments; it can be used to select yeast plasmids marked with TRP, LEU, and URA for transformation. Its genotype is: MATα, leu2-3,112; trp1-901; his3∆200; ade2-101; cyh2R; can1R; gal4∆; gal80∆; GAL1::lacZ; HIS3UASGAL1:: HIS3 LYS2; SPAL10 UASGAL1::URA3. MaV203 competent cells are made through a special process and can be stored at -80°C for 12 months; the pGADT7 plasmid (7988bp, Amp^R) shows a transformation efficiency of >10⁴ cfu/μg DNA.
