INVSC1 Chemically Competent Cell
INVSC1 Chemically Competent Cell
![]() The INVSC1 strain is specifically used as a host yeast for recombinant protein expression, with the pYES2 plasmid used in conjunction with INVSC1 yeast to activate the transcription of the GAL1 promoter of the pYES2 plasmid, thereby initiating the expression of downstream recombinant proteins. INVSC1 is a diploid type and can directly transform the pYES2 plasmid into INVSC1 cells via PEG/LiAc. The selection marker for the pYES2 plasmid is URA, which can be screened using SD-URA plates. Its genotype is: MATa his3Δ1 leu2 trp1-289 ura3-52/MATa his3Δ1 leu2 trp1-289 ura3-52. The INVSC1 competent cells are prepared through a special process and can be stored at -80°C for 12 months, with a transformation efficiency of pYES2 plasmid (5857bp, AmpR) exceeding 104 cfu/μg DNA.
