EBY100

EBY100 is an engineering strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae which is widely used in yeast surface display technology. Its genotype is MATα, with auxotrophic markers such as ura3-52 and trp1, which is convenient for transformation screening. The key feature of this strain is that the genome is integrated with the lectin protein Aga1p expression cassette regulated by GAL1 promoter. When co-transformed with the surface display vector (such as pYD1) carrying Aga2p gene, the exogenous target protein can be anchored on the cell wall surface under the induction of galactose. This system is widely used in antibody screening, vaccine development, protein directed evolution and protein-ligand interaction research.
