EBY100

EBY100 is an engineering strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae which is widely used in yeast surface display technology. Its genotype is MATα, with multiple auxotrophic markers (such as ura3-52, trp1, etc.), and it is protease deficient (PEP 4:: HIS3, PRB1 δ 1.6R), which helps to reduce the degradation of foreign proteins. The strain carries pIU211 plasmid (URA3 marker), and its supporting core display vector is pYD1. EBY100 can express the cell wall protein Aga1p under the control of GAL1 promoter, thus anchoring the foreign target protein on the cell surface. Therefore, it is widely used in vaccine development, antibody screening and protein engineering research.
