Y1H-G yeast is an experimental strain developed by Clontech Company for GAL4-AbA yeast one-hybrid system. Its genotype is MATα, and GAL4 and GAL80 genes are deleted. Aureobasidin A (AbA) resistance gene was used as the reporter gene in this strain. Compared with the traditional auxotrophic marker, it can effectively reduce the experimental background and reduce false positives. It is usually used with pAbAi and pGADT7 plasmids to study the interaction between protein and DNA.
