WB800
WB800
WB800 Bacillus subtilis strain is a protease-deficient strain modified by genetic engineering, which is often used for efficient expression of foreign proteins. It was constructed by knocking out eight major extracellular protease genes (nprE, aprE, epr, bpr, mpr, nprB, vpr and wprA) on the basis of wild-type Bacillus subtilis 168 strain. This multiple defect feature can significantly reduce the degradation of foreign protein by host protease, thus improving the yield and stability of target protein. The strain can express protein by using E.coli-Bacillus subtilis shuttle plasmid, which is suitable for aerobic culture in LB medium at 30-37℃. It is an important tool for industrial enzyme preparation production and scientific research.
