HT115(DE3)

HT115(DE3) is a derivative strain of Escherichia coli K12, which is widely used in gene expression and RNAi research. The strain lacks RNase III enzyme with specific degradation activity of double-stranded RNA, which can effectively stabilize double-stranded RNA molecules. At the same time, its genome integrates the DE3 region of λ phage, including T7 RNA polymerase gene regulated by lacUV5 promoter, which can be induced by IPTG to achieve high-efficiency expression of the target gene. This strain is suitable for dsRNA preparation and protonucleoprotein expression system.
