WAT11

WAT11 is an engineering strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, which is specially designed for the functional study of plant cytochrome P450 monooxygenase. The strain expresses the P450 reductase ATR1 from Arabidopsis thaliana, which can provide the necessary electron donor for the exogenous plant P450 enzyme, thus reconstructing its catalytic activity. WAT11 is mainly used for heterologous expression of plant P450 enzyme to study its function in drug metabolism, biosynthesis and detoxification.
