K599(pSoup)

K599(Soup) is a derivative engineering strain of Agrobacterium rhizogenes K599, and its core feature is that it carries an additional PSO-UP helper plasmid. This plasmid can provide necessary replication proteins for small binary vectors such as pGreen and pGs2 in Agrobacterium, thus supporting the stable existence of these vectors. K599(Soup) retains the original K599 strain's ability to induce plants to produce hairy roots by using Ri plasmid, and it is resistant to rifampicin and streptomycin. This strain is suitable for the transformation experiment of plant hair roots that need pGreen series vectors for gene manipulation.
