T1 Phage Resistant
T1 Phage Resistant
T1 Phage Resistant is a derivative strain of Escherichia coli K-12, and its core feature is natural resistance to T1 phage. This characteristic stems from the mutation of tonA gene, which leads to the deletion of the receptor of T1 phage on the cell surface, thus effectively preventing the infection of T1 phage. The strain is also recombinant defective (recA1), which can ensure the stability of foreign DNA. And deletion of endonuclease I(endA1) is beneficial to obtain high-quality plasmid. The strain is suitable for experiments such as fermentation production and plasmid amplification to avoid phage contamination.
