R1000

R1000 is a kind of Agrobacterium rhizogenes strain, which shows high efficiency in plant genetic transformation research. Studies have confirmed that it contains rolB gene unique to Agrobacterium rhizogenes, which can effectively induce hairy roots in many plants (such as cucumber and sweet orange) with high transformation rate. The strain has rifampicin resistance, usually cultured in YEB medium at 28℃ aerobic, and plasmid transformation can be carried out by electrotransformation or chemotransformation. R1000 is a practical tool strain in root biology research and genetic transformation experiment.
