AXT3K
AXT3K
AXT3X is an engineering strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae for xylose fermentation. The key genes of xylose metabolism pathway, such as xylose reductase and xylitol dehydrogenase, were introduced into the strain through genetic engineering, so that it could effectively use xylose as carbon source for growth and fermentation. Ura3 auxotrophic marker is convenient for genetic manipulation and transformant screening. AXT3X is mainly used to study the efficient ethanol conversion of xylose in lignocellulosic biomass, and it is a common tool strain in the field of biofuel research.
