GV3101 (pJIC SA-Rep)
GV3101 (pJIC SA-Rep)
GV3101(pJIC SA-Rep) is a modified Agrobacterium tumefaciens engineering strain, which is suitable for plant transgenic research. Its basic strain is GV3101, which has rifampicin resistance and carries auxiliary plasmid pMP90 (gentamicin resistance). PJIC SA-Rep plasmid was additionally introduced into this strain, which usually contains specific replicons (such as pVS1) and screening markers (such as spectinomycin resistance), in order to enhance the stability of the vector in Agrobacterium or provide special functions. The strain is suitable for stable transformation experiments of Arabidopsis thaliana, tobacco and other plants.
