Maize Leaf Protoplast Preparation and Transformation Kit Plus
Maize Leaf Protoplast Preparation and Transformation Kit Plus
This kit is specially designed for leaves of maize seedlings grown under low light or dark conditions. It contains complete sets of reagents in two boxes, A and B (Box A stored at -20°C, Box B stored at room temperature). Based on 20 mL enzyme solution per use, it can be used for 5-10 experiments and comes with matching consumables such as cell strainers. It uses cellulase and pectolyase to degrade cell walls. The enzyme solution is treated in a 55°C water bath, combined with vacuum pre-treatment and light-protected digestion, resulting in high yield and good activity of protoplasts (size approximately 25-35 μm). It contains PEG or electroporation-related solutions, ensuring reliable transformation efficiency. The prepared protoplasts can be directly used for studies such as subcellular protein localization and protein interaction verification. The operation process is clear and does not require complex equipment, providing a powerful tool for maize molecular biology research.
