Bao Jiang's medium broth is a liquid medium for selective culture of leptospira. Its basic components are peptone and beef extract powder, and the key additives are rabbit serum or bovine serum albumin to provide essential fatty acids and growth factors. The buffer system adopts phosphate to maintain pH stability. This culture medium supplements special nutritional requirements through serum, supports the proliferation of leptospira under aerobic conditions at 28-30℃, and is a standard tool for the separation and culture of leptospira in water quality, animal tissues and clinical specimens.
