Baojiang's medium agar is a solid medium for the separation and culture of leptospira. Its basic components are peptone and beef extract powder, and the key additives provide essential fatty acids and growth factors for rabbit serum or bovine serum albumin. Agar is used as coagulant. The culture medium supplements special nutrition through serum and maintains appropriate osmotic pressure, which supports leptospirosis to form typical colonies under aerobic conditions of 28-30℃, and is an important tool for leptospirosis diagnosis and environmental monitoring.
