DC3000

DC3000 is a model strain of Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato, which has been widely studied as a typical plant pathogenic bacteria. The strain contains hrp/hrc III secretion system, which can inject effector protein into host cells such as Arabidopsis thaliana and tomato, inhibit their immune response and cause diseases. DC3000 is an important model to study the molecular mechanism of plant-pathogen interaction. Its whole genome has been sequenced and its genetic operation system is mature.
