This culture medium can promote the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis through acidic environment (pH about 6.0) and selective inhibitors, and inhibit most non-target bacteria at the same time. It is a classic culture medium for the isolation and culture of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in clinical specimens.
