PLET agar base is a solid medium for selective isolation of Bacillus anthracis. Its basic components are peptone and yeast extract powder, and the key selective additives are polymyxin, lysozyme, EDTA and thiourea, which can effectively inhibit gram-negative bacteria, gram-positive miscellaneous bacteria and non-target bacteria of Bacillus. The culture medium realizes high selectivity through the combination of various inhibitors, supports the formation of typical colonies of Bacillus anthracis, and is a special tool for the separation and identification of Bacillus anthracis in environmental samples.
