Carboxybenzylpenicillin sodium/sucrose medium is a liquid medium for microbial protoplast culture and regeneration. Its basic components are peptone and beef extract powder, the key additive is high concentration sucrose (usually 0.3-0.5M) to maintain isotonic environment, and sodium carbenicillin is used as cell wall synthesis inhibitor.
