CT culture medium

CT medium is a special medium for detecting the gene expression of Vibrio cholerae toxin. Its basic components are peptone and yeast extract powder, and the key additives are nitrite and polymyxin B. This culture medium can induce the expression of cholera toxin operon through nitrite and inhibit miscellaneous bacteria by combining polymyxin B. It is a standard tool for detecting toxic Vibrio cholerae in environmental and clinical samples.
