Maikangkai inositol adonol carbenicillin agar
Maikangkai inositol adonol carbenicillin agar is a solid medium for selective separation of Aeromonas. Its basic components are peptone, bile salt and sodium chloride, the key additives are inositol and adonitol as identification sugars, and carbenicillin as selective inhibitor. Bile salt inhibits gram-positive bacteria, and carbenicillin further inhibits miscellaneous bacteria; Aeromonas can ferment inositol to produce acid to form red colonies, but the strains that do not ferment adonol can be identified according to this, which is widely used to detect pathogenic Aeromonas in aquatic products.
