Desulfurization bacteria culture medium is a liquid culture medium for selective culture of sulfate-reducing bacteria. The basic ingredients are sodium lactate and yeast extract powder, and the key additives are sulfate and ammonium ferric citrate. Through anaerobic conditions and sulfate as electron acceptor, this culture medium supports desulfurization bacteria to reduce sulfate to hydrogen sulfide and form black precipitate with iron ions. It is a standard tool for detecting sulfate-reducing bacteria in environmental and industrial systems.
