Asbby medium

Ashby medium is a solid medium for selective separation of autotrophic nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Its basic components are mannitol and mineral solution, and its key feature is that it contains no bound nitrogen source at all. This culture medium is a classic tool for screening and identifying autotrophic nitrogen-fixing bacteria (such as nitrogen-fixing bacteria) by forcing microorganisms to grow depending on nitrogen fixation through nitrogen source deficiency.
