Cellulase detection medium is a liquid medium for screening cellulose-degrading microorganisms. Its basic component is inorganic salt solution, and the key additive is carboxymethyl cellulose or microcrystalline cellulose as the only carbon source. This culture medium selects microorganisms that can secrete cellulase through cellulose substrate, and uses Congo red to produce transparent hydrolysis circle to identify enzyme activity.
