BM liquid medium is a liquid medium for selective enrichment of Bifidobacterium. Its basic components are peptone and yeast extract powder, the key additive is cysteine hydrochloride to reduce redox potential, and mupirocin inhibits miscellaneous bacteria. The culture medium promotes the dominant growth of Bifidobacterium through anaerobic conditions and selective inhibitors, and is an important tool for the study of probiotic products and intestinal microorganisms.
