Pectin agar medium is a solid medium for screening pectin degrading microorganisms. Its basic components are pectin and mineral solution, and the key additive is bromocresol purple indicator. The culture medium can select microorganisms that can secrete pectinase through pectin substrate, and the positive colonies are hydrolyzed by cause and effect, and the acid is yellow, so it is an important tool for food processing and plant pathogen research.
