Creatinine medium

Creatinine medium is a liquid medium for screening creatinine degrading bacteria. Its basic component is inorganic salt solution, and the key additive is creatinine as the only carbon source and nitrogen source. The culture medium selects the microorganisms that can decompose creatinine through creatinine substrate, and is used for the study of microorganisms related to kidney diseases and the screening of bacteria degrading environmental pollutants. It is an interdisciplinary research tool between medical microbiology and environmental microbiology.
