TAT broth

TAT broth is a liquid medium for selective enrichment of Clostridium tetanus. Its basic components are peptone and beef extract powder, and the key additive is sodium thioglycolate to reduce oxidation-reduction potential and create an anaerobic environment. The culture medium can promote the proliferation of Clostridium tetanus and produce neurotoxin through anaerobic conditions and specific nutrients, and is a special tool for detecting Clostridium tetanus in trauma samples and environmental samples.
