PPLO agar base

PPLO agar base is a basic solid medium for mycoplasma culture. Its basic components are bovine heart extract and peptone, which provide basic nutrition for the growth of mycoplasma. Agar is used as coagulant. As a basic formula, this culture medium needs to be supplemented with horse serum, yeast extract and other supplements to provide sterols and growth factors, and support mycoplasma to form characteristic "poached egg"-like colonies. It is a standardized platform for mycoplasma isolation and identification.
