Semi-fluid medium for mycoplasma arginine (excluding phenol red) is a semi-solid medium for the separation and preservation of mycoplasma arginine. Its basic components are bovine heart extract and peptone, the key additive is arginine as the main energy source, horse serum provides sterols, and low concentration agar forms semi-solid matrix. The medium supports the growth of mycoplasma through arginine deamination, and does not contain phenol red indicator to avoid interference to subsequent experiments. It is suitable for long-term preservation of mycoplasma and culture before molecular biological detection.
