Desulfurization monad culture medium

The culture medium for desulfurization is a liquid culture medium for selective culture of the genus desulfurization. The basic ingredients are sodium lactate and yeast extract powder, and the key additives are sodium thiosulfate and ammonium ferric citrate. Through anaerobic conditions and thiosulfate as electron acceptor, this culture medium supports the reduction of thiosulfate by Desulfidomonas to generate hydrogen sulfide, which forms black precipitate with iron ions. It is a special tool for the study of sulfur circulating microorganisms in environmental and industrial systems.
